I knew I wanted my building to focus on an aspect of sound. In particular, I was interested in the elements of sound that derive from nature. From this, I researched into a music school that uses wind to create its music. The idea is that the wind has its own music and is a part of nature, nature's own music. The main instrument I wanted to use was the pipe organ. The music school's main focus would be how to play the pipe organ in an environment where it can be enjoyed at its acoustic best. The building became an instrument in its own right, with a roof following the shape of a phonograph.
