The premise for this research topic originates from a standpoint of curiosity, consideration and critical thinking surrounding the role of the archive and its implementation across digital cultures. This study acknowledges work arising among computerisation, the encoding of memory and life expansion technologies within a contemporary shift towards transhumanism, and how we might begin to consider the types of relationships taking place with emerging technologies.
