Whine Project

Brief:
(First Year Project. Falmouth University)
Create a typeface or drink brand relating to the person described in the booklet given. Each person on the course had to fill out a booklet which asked around 50 questions. The questions were all addressed in a way which when answered created a sense about you as a person. The booklets were all collected in and then they were given out randomly just after.
Solution:
I began by breaking down information provided by the booklet given. I came up with 4 words that provided the foundations of the product. These were Optimistic, Opinionated, Complicated and Informed. I felt these particular words described the person strongly and therefore were used as Brand Values. I created the drink brand using a particular language. If my person was a product they would act and talk exactly like this. In the booklet filled out their motto was ‘Don’t give up’ so I immediately thought of them as a motivator, encourager and someone with lots of perseverance. I reflected these qualities into the drink brand which I named ‘Whine’. A play on words with the act of whining. The ‘Whine’ bottle uses optimistic language as a tool to help and inform someone to get through a hard situation.
