Whistles represents English quality and heritage. I created a series of perfumes exploring the Oscar Wilde short story ‘The Nightingale and the Rose’, a tragic fable about love, sacrifice, and botany. The visuals from the story spoke of gardens of herbs and flowers. Wilde’s poetic quality felt the perfect tone for a three-part series of perfumes, allowing me to craft each as though a chapter from his story.
