WONDERKID Football Club are an LGBTQ+ inclusive team based in Hackney born after the production of WONDERKID, a short film depicting the struggles of a gay professional footballer. . For them visibility isn’t just about high-level representation within the sport: “you see quite a lot of images of elite footballers, and it’s really cool to see women at the top level being celebrated. But it's also about seeing what's happening off the pitch. The more you can show girls just casually having fun, having a kick about in the park, the better.”
