Woolly Mammals
This series is a collaboration with photographer David Sykes.
The images are a peek into a strange suburban home belonging to a collector of knitted taxidermy trophies. Nothing is quite what it seems in this dark and slightly peculiar home....
The project is very much a meeting of minds, we are both avid collectors of weird and wonderful ornaments, books and furniture. A lot of the props in the shoot are items that have been acquired from family members (AKA rescued from the bin), found, or bought in second hand shops across the UK.
I knitted the animal busts using my domestic knitting machine. All of the animals are 100% lambs wool. All wools are sourced in the UK.
