World's End (BBC)

In 2014, I spent 5 months working a new CBBC TV series – a 32 episode live-action sci-fi show called World's End. My role was as Assistant Art Director and Graphics Artist, handling any graphic design, illustration, art direction and animation requirements for set and prop design, making anything from from fake packaging to corporate branding, web sites and animated computer displays.
The contract was quite a marathon, combining long hours (7am–7pm!) with a constantly evolving schedule which I took in my stride, delivering a continual run of jobs at a quality fit for commercial use. I also spent 2 weeks on a shoot at Bamburgh Castle.
The breadth of work done on this show was huge, testing my skills in many areas – it's not often you'll spend the morning designing and making an ice cream tub then the afternoon animating the computer display of a space shuttle.
