Wrecked: Stories of the Deep at Jetty Museum

  • Jonathan Briggs

A floating, immersive underwater experience.

When we unexpectedly finds ourselves in water, the initial reaction is one of chaos, confusion and disorientation. This eventually gives way to a still calmness as we adapt to our new surreal environment. The environment becomes darker with increased loss of visual and sonic senses as life, objects and memories are lost to the deep forever.
Field created an immersive gallery where visitors are exposed to a chain of events through physical, linear storytelling, environmental staging using material, projection and sound, culminating in an engaging interactive installation that creates a staged narrative of the stories of the wrecks of Windermere.
