WT Gothic. A typeface that gives us the voice to tell our story.

WundermanThompson's new bespoke typeface, WT Gothic, celebrates the marriage of two historic agencies, Wunderman and J Walter Thompson. To celebrate the merger, we proposed a custom typeface to enhance the new global brand identity.
The letterforms were inspired by the typographic and architectural styles present in early 20th Century New York — where both Wunderman and JWT were founded. The typeface is both a nod to the agency’s historical heritage and a view into its future.
By embedding variable axes for both weight and italics it allows us to animate and interpolate between the two. This allows the typeface to react to a variety of inputs such as sound, motion or data.
