A manufacturing start-up, XeraCarb, wanted an identity that reflected their industry but was approachable rather than corporate. By incorporating the bonds and particles that form atoms into the logo and overall brand I successfully highlighted the scientific nature of their work. The use of clear typography and a minimal colour palette across all brand collateral gave the company a sense of approachability, and was an important factor in the design of their website.
XeraCarb wanted a website with minimum navigation, allowing the user to get the necessary information quickly and without frustration. I also developed set of icons for use online, to help with the navigation. Built by Owen Waterhouse, the designs below show how the XeraCarb website looked when the brand launched – the website has since been redesigned.
