XL/ D&AD

  • Aaron Collins
A series of Illustrations in reaction to XL's Popham airport rave event, 1992. A finalised theme became a sense of empowerment within a space, playing on the viewers sensory perception. The first four images worked as a series of large scale prints placed within a confined space. Yet due to the clarity of colour, the effect is achieved when viewed within your internet browser. Placement was a relation to the physical aesthetic of a rave, stereotypically being a claustrophobic environment. Beyond the first four images you will see numerous images from experimental stages, more can be explained on this if you wish to ask.
