Yala Jewellery: Brand Voice & Website Copy

Audrey, Founder of Yala Jewellery, came to me with ambitions to create an ethical and empowered jewellery brand, representative of its Kenyan roots and luxury quality.

Brief: Create an ethical and empowered brand voice representative of the mindful practices and Kenyan community creating high quality brass jewellery. Once created, to apply this to a new website, newsletters, product descriptions, and packaging.
Solution: Working through number of exercises with Audrey, Founder of Yala Jewellery, to create the ideal tone of voice. Remote working on content blocks, which were then reviewed and honed and aligned with the bold brand design and dreamlike photography.
Role: I led the creation of the Yala Jewellery brand voice, and subsequently applied this to all core content areas. I was particularly pleased with the seamless working relationship I had with Audrey, who trusted my work and was particularly open and aware of what was needed. We worked together on a large amount of work in a short space of time, with great results.
Impact: Yala Jewellery launched in November of 2018, and has amassed a following of over 4,000 people.
