I'm the founder of YSYS a thriving startup community for founders, developers, creatives and investors on a mission to make a difference. Whether you are building the world’s next best app, or working for a fast-growing tech company, our community is the place for you to connect with like-minded people. To support our community we created a slack group for people with shared values to build relationships in, marketing, technology, venture-funding and more.
We also collaborate with accelerators, incubators, venture capitalists, not-for profits and corporates globally on Impact Projects that supports the startup ecosystem. For those we collaborate with we identify types of solutions, strategies and topic areas to develop which provides benefits for everyone, to learn, build and grow. A little bit of history:
During the spring of 2017 Deborah had an idea to set up a WhatsApp group, bringing a supportive network of founders together. In a short space of time word got around about it’s infectious “pay it forward culture” from members investing in each others startups to volunteering at some of the most notable tech events, It quickly became clear to Deborah, that there are people is the startup community who also want to give back. So when the WhatsApp group reached 100 members, Deborah co-decided with the community to move on to Slack and officially launch YSYS. Fast forward today: YSYS is a startup community committed to empowering others to #buildtogether and work towards a more equitable world.
