Projects
  • Carl Witzmann Chair
Carl Witzmann ChairThe challenge is to make a replica of The Wiener Werkstätte armchair designed by Carl Witzmann. The project was carried out during a woodworking class at London Metropolitan University.
  • Oakley "Breeze" Jacket
Oakley "Breeze" JacketOakley wants to take a leadership position in “everyday cycling performance” and bridge the gap between style and function with a range of cycling apparel / accessory products. This project was an entry to D&AD design competition and won "Best of Year" award. Client: Oakley Competition: D&AD 2013
  • "Noir" Lamp
"Noir" LampFilm noir, a black and white world steeped in mystery: diagonals of street lights, a femme fatale with her identity transforming with each new twist and turn of the story, someone spying through the bars of Venetian blinds… Lamp “Noir” invites you to this world. “Noir” is a flat pack LED table lamp folded out of a single sheet of recycled aluminium with 2 different form configurations. The user selects a configuration and folds a lamp based on his/her preferences.
  • Bruni Glass
Bruni GlassBruni Glass is a high volume producer of glass containers. This was the 12th edition of the Progetto Millennio, a bi-annual glass design competition. The task is to propose new forms of jars for food packaging (314 ml). All proposals should be suitable for production by high volume mechanical hollow glass technology. Espresso, the ultimate Italian invention, gives the highest concentration of flavours and caffeine in a small cup. The form for this jar was achieved by manipulating and morphing round and angular shapes of an espresso cup and “Moka Express” - two essential parts of any cucina italiana. The idea of morphing forms was inspired by Italian Futurism.
  • The Bull Stool
The Bull StoolDigital lifestyles eroded our need for products. Rental culture chipped away at the sense of place and permanence. With ever accelerating urbanization people are downsizing and society is becoming more nomadic. People react to these shifts by fetishizing objects for their tactile pleasures, provenance and tangible value. This sets new requirements for furniture. The “Bull” stool is a mobile and multifunctional piece of furniture for modern urban living that combines traditional craftsmanship with new technology.
  • Delightful. Diffusing. Disgusting.
Delightful. Diffusing. Disgusting.Bedside diffuser of pig whipworm eggs for continuous infestation. Infestation with that worm allows to modulate immune system and treat autoimmune disorders. The hygiene hypothesis proves the lack of exposure to certain parasites suppresses the correct development of the immune system. This can be observed in the rise of autoimmune disorders in western countries. Clinical trials demonstrated ingesting parasitic pig whipworm could treat these ailments. Disgust is not the realm of product design, but this aversive emotion always bears the imprint of desire and can map out new intellectual territories for design. This project investigates disgust as a means of providing complex aesthetic experience. This project is supported through a MEAD Scholarship awarded by University of the Arts London.
