Overview: Bramley Oak Academy offers provision for 5–11-year-olds (Key Stages 1 & 2) working hard with students to create a safe and happy learning environment. Our aim is to create an atmosphere of mutual respect and resilience that supports our students to grow into purposeful young adults, so they can contribute to society in a positive way.
I worked as a class teacher in this school, with responsibility of a class of 8 students, all with various levels of education and needs and I am currently working as an Maths intervention lead, working on a 1:1 basis with a selection of pupils.
Responsibilities:
Plan lessons within the objectives of the national curriculum with challenging students with varying levels of education.
Established and maintained relationships of trust, understanding and empathy with both students and parents with challenging circumstances and backgrounds.
Deliver innovative and engaging teaching methods ensuring students are engaged eliminating disruption.
Incorporated up-to-date tech enhancements in delivering lessons, including extensive use of interactive whiteboards.
Provide parents, carers with thoughtful, empathic feedback on progress, challenges whilst partnering with the objective of gaining greater value from education.
Part of an executive leadership body in house aligned to the strategy of the school aligned to government objectives for disadvantaged children.
