Do you really want to delete project Props and Graphics?
I am an enthusiastic designer open to all aspects of the creative industries. During my time in film and television, I've worked with many talented crews and gained invaluable skills and experience. I'm currently based in Nottingham and excited to explore new creative possibilities in the Midlands.Locked Pro Plan feature
I provided extra support to all members of the art department due to the high volume of stunts being filmed. This involved creating graphics such as letters, posters, signage etc alongside the Graphics Department using Photoshop, Illustrator and hand drawing wherever appropriate. I also dressed sets with the Art Directors and prepared props and dressings for upcoming shoots.
I was responsible for breaking down scripts and then leading the buyers, dressers and graphic artists in ensuring sets and props were appropriate and available for that block of shooting. I’d communicate with other departments about set modifications, cross over props, lighting and camera movements to make sure what we built was fit for purpose. During filming I’d monitor continuity on the video playback and fixing any unexpected situations such as a surprise scene change, broken props etc. Prepping and shooting episodes simultaneously was essential due to the high turnover of programming.
I provided support to all members of the art department. Creating graphics alongside the Graphic Designer including forms, letters, signage, posters etc using Photoshop, Illustrator, and hand drawing wherever appropriate. Acting as Petty Cash Buyer with a float of up to £800, sourcing and buying smaller props and art department materials. Searching prop houses to find dressings and props before transporting them to sets located all around London. Taking measurements of locations for construction plans. Building a 1:50 scale white model of a key two- story bunker set for production meetings with the Director. Helping Dressers and Propmen dress the sets before filming. Assisting with the de-rig after filming. Assisting the Standby Art Director during filming with any vital last minute requests or changes to sets. Creating action props including seven ancient manuscripts complete with illustrations, voodoo giraffes made from sticks and a big lego castle.
I provided support to all members of the art department. Creating graphics such as letters, posters, signage etc alongside the Graphics Department using Photoshop, Illustrator and hand drawing wherever appropriate. Dressing sets with the Art Directors, particularly in preparation for big wedding scenes, Christmas scenes, etc. Updating and maintaining all the sets for the time of year, character changes, general maintenance etc. Acting as Petty Cash Buyer, buying new wallpapers, paints and props as requested and transporting them to set and construction. Developing 1:50 scale white models from plans of new set builds ready for construction. Adapting hand drafted technical drawings if required. Digitalising floor plans of all the sets from hand drafted technical drawings to PDF documents in VectorWorks. Assisting the Standby Art Directors during filming with vital last minute requests or changes to the sets. I also acted as Standby Art Director for any press shoots, designing the space and being available to provide any last minute changes.
