About me
Abiola Oke is an accomplished entrepreneur, international media executive, and sought-after business strategist. He is currently the Founder and CEO of Adisa Consultants, a trusted independent business strategy consulting firm that helps companies and entrepreneurs navigate the complexities of an ever-changing business landscape—with a specific emphasis on the intersection of entertainment, media, and technology. Abiola is the Co-Founder of OkayMedia, a 360 international media and entertainment company, where he served as CEO for 5 years. OkayMedia is the parent company of digital media brands OkayAfrica, Okayplayer, Afripods, and a series of other entertainment subsidiaries with operations in 4 countries. During his time at OkayMedia, Abiola worked with some of the world’s most recognizable brands, including Uber, Nike, Disney, Apple, DIAGEO, Samsung, and the NBA to name a few. He is also a noted speaker and journalist who has contributed articles and given interviews on various topics at the intersection of business, media, technology, music, culture, and Africa. He has written for and been featured in CNN, Black Enterprise, Al Jazeera, BBC, and BET amongst others. Oke has interviewed various notables such as filmmaker Ryan Coogler, Chiwetel Ejiofor, David Oyelowo, Adepero Oduye, Rep. John Lewis, and others. As a noted speaker, Abiola has served on several panels and delivered keynotes speeches at Stanford University, Oxford University, Columbia University, Chicago Booth, Haas School of Business, Haiti TECH Conference, AfroTech, and many more. In 2018 Abiola was named one of the most influential people of African Descent in support by the UN and served as a judge at MIDEM’s Artist Accelerator program with other executives from UTA, Viacom, and others. He was awarded the Amplifier of the Year honor at the inaugural AfroBall gala by Congresswoman Karen Bass. As a passionate activist and humanitarian, Abiola has served on various boards including,  MoCADA (Museum of Contemporary Diaspora Arts), FACE Africa, Monrovia Football Academy, Global Citizen Live, NABU.org, he also mentors students for the Student Sponsor Partners. Oke has a B.A. from the City University of New York in Economics and a minor in Black Studies. In his free time, he is an avid reader, film producer, critic, and music producer, Abiola resides in Manhattan, NY with his wife Farrah.
