Moonpig gives me the opportunity to work across a multitude of design disciplines and marketing arenas. My work involved: - Seasonal campaign lead. - Creating visuals for the everyday website, always striving to come up with new and inventive design routes. - Designing offer graphics for television adverts. - Designing printed marketing materials such as leaflets and adverts. - Producing everyday and seasonal digital display adverts. - The design and HTML coding of Moonpig's email marketing campaigns that are sent out on a weekly basis. - Producing content and aiding with the planning for Moonpig's social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, G+ and Pinterest. - Delivering a consistent brand look and feel across all communication. - The direction, styling and post production of Moonpig's lifestyle and product photography. - Photographing ad-hoc lifestyle and product shots. - Providing design support to all areas of marketing such as PR, retention and acquisition. - Understanding of user journeys and A/B testing.
In my role within British Transport Police I aim to connect with and inform a huge range of internal and external audiences in order to maintain the organisation's high profile. To achieve successful communication with such a wide audience requires insight and analysis of many markets, resulting in the need for both corporate and empathetic, intuitive design. I regularly produce concepts for awareness campaigns in addition to extending the application of current campaigns, two monthly magazines with wide readerships as well as a healthy quantity of information design. Often needing to communicate detailed and lengthy data quickly and effectively.
After graduating from University College Falmouth I was employed by Orphans Media as a Graphic Designer. The year spent in their employment was invaluable to my commercial development as a multi-disciplinary designer creating brands and corporate identities, packaging, editorial layout, advertising campaigns and web designs. Within the company my client list was as diverse as international, corporate based, Prometheus Medical; expanding national businesses, such as The Posh Shed Company; and start-up enterprises like The Little Blue Owl. Orphans Media allowed me to expand not only the aesthetics of my web design but integrate SEO into it and ensure an unimpaired user experience through knowledge of navigation and CMS. The responsibility of preparing projects for print and quality checking proofs developed a keen eye for detail. From building a close relationship with the printing team I gained a solid understanding of the printing process and the variety of finishes. A background in public speaking has prepared me for the many successful pitches and presentations at which I represented my employer, both individually and as part of a team.
