About me

I am a Journalism graduate who has just returned to London after a year living in Paris and I am actively seeking the next phase in my career. Performing editing, writing and design-related tasks, for a combined total of 6 years, I worked for Straight No Chaser music magazine as a feature writer and sub-editor, compiling the listings page called Destination Out and I also worked for Chaser's sister-publication Shook in London, after which I became freelance. In my spare time, I currently publish and edit a free, quarterly, illustrated arts London newspaper called quill. quill exists to showcase the worlds of cuisine, film, theatre, comedy, music and literature in and around central London I am relishing the prospect of becoming part of a team again which is why this role, along with the job description, really appeals to me as I have a natural love of music, festivals, radio along with all things arts and entertainment as well as a love for subbing, wordplay and writing across a wide range of disciplines and challenging myself to connect with different audiences while working to specific briefs, deadlines and house styles. I am confident in my skills and experience, and in my ability to add to an already successful team and I am looking for continuity within a company in a position I can grow and improve myself as a communicator and writer. I would describe myself as bright, well-organized, a hard worker and above all a team player who is constantly pushing myself and those around me to be better and go beyond job descriptions.
