About me
My current day-to-day duties involve administrative duties and managing all events and social media accounts across multiple platforms for the business. I play a pivotal role in the creation and successful execution of each individual event (end to end management), ranging from music nights to corporate meetings. I enjoy the creative aspect of my role, where I can use my own initiative and build relationships/network by meeting new people from new clients to brand ambassadors. I have utilised skills learnt at university, where I gained a degree in Music, Events management and Socialnomics, in both my previous role at Live Nation and my current role at Youngs, The Windmill. These skills include promotion, interaction and account management. I am use to a fast moving, hands on environment. I am use to dealing with all kinds of events, from music, meetings and weddings. I thrive in a busy business with a great can-do attitude towards everything I do ultising my highly exceptional planning and organisaitonal skills.

    • Developing creative event ideas for the business • Customer relations; Manage all queries and communication with clients for event and restaurant bookings, ensuring deposits, payment and requirements are dealt with in a timely manner • Creating relevant paperwork for all departments of the business for events and functions in advance • Optimize profitable utilization of event space, being proactive with function enquiries • Reach sales budget (monthly); track revenue on a weekly basis, P&L knowledge • Booking relevant and exciting bands/artists for weekly music event “Sounds of the Shack” • Promoting events and ensuring ticketed events are successfully promoted and sold • Continuously interacting with guests day-to-day • Staff training for event days • Collins event/bookings management (Design My Night) • Social media account management, keeping posts relevant, interesting and engaging • Keeping up to date with marketing and events within the business and industry • Managing reservations for restaurant and function room bookings on a daily basis • Utilising my creative eye by helping with interior design ideas for the building, bar displays and promotional material • Manage all mailers for business, building database of customers, growing social media following • Update website content so that is it always up to date (pictures, menus and event information) • Supporting the General Manager in business duties and tasks, hosting & managing the floor during busy days. My role requires excellent verbal and written communication skills. I am utlising my exceptional organizational skills, time management and ability to multitask on a daily basis. Through these skills the business had an exceptional year with me involved, December was an extremely lucrative period due to my management of Christmas bookings, my ability to turn tables and my proactive approach with function enquiries. I enjoy the creative aspect of my role; From coming up with event ideas to being given the chance to name a bespoke brewed Ale by Young’s Brewery, which was chosen amongst numerous other entries. The Ale is going to be sold across more than 200 pubs. My twitter posts average a reach of 500+ and my Facebook posts an average of 3000 reach through my original content and keeping up to date with trends. I have developed a strong skill set that allows me to thrive in this fast paced environment.

My dissertation was written on the importance of social media in new music discovery. Computer skills: Excel (Intermediate), Word (Expert), Google Mail & Outlook (Expert), 65 WPM typing.
