Projects
- Replicating NatureAs we strive to digitally replicate the real world with larger screens, higher resolutions, and better graphics, we ironically destroy the natural world we attempt to imitate. Replicating Nature confronts the individual with projected growing flowers that reverse their growth (until disappearing) when they are approached, portraying our desire to reproduce nature while actively destroying it.
- Selected RamblingsIn ‘Selected Ramblings’, I re-appropriated and hacked a vintage typewriter, replacing the printed output of the keys with spoken words, bringing a voice out each time a key is pressed. By memorising the keys and the words they individually contain, the typewriter becomes an instrument that is used to construct and perform a live poem. With this piece, I strove to portray the mind as a machine and the repetitive and obsessive processes of thought and language.
- Here and ThereAn interactive art installation of chemically-altered photographs that are lit up and reveal a soundscape in response to the spectator's position. Here and There explores the nature of memory and its processes of collection and confabulation through the visualisation of 'abandoned' memories.
