My duties as a University Ambassador included extensive interaction with prospective students such as conducting campus tours and manning the reception desk during Open Days. I have also served on the recruitment panel for selecting other Student Ambassadors.
At Cheil, a global corporation, I was tasked with another intern to prepare an important product pitch. This involved liaising with Chiel co-workers via email to generate new and innovative ideas. In addition my responsibilities included the creation of a product research survey, a powerpoint pitch presentation and detailed research such as: creating a product research survey.
At this small company, which specialises in developing digital marketing campaigns for external clients, I gained insight into the mechanics of marketing in the internet era. I acquired some basic digital software skills including WordPress, Google Analytics and Moz Analytics and became familiar with basic online marketing and advertising practices on social media platforms.
At this consumer electronics company, I wrote reviews on new products which were included in the company’s monthly email publication for customers. My tasks also included writing press releases to be displayed on the company’s website. To enhance my understanding of the company’s business and production practices, I visited their factory based in Shenzhen, China. Putting my Photoshop skills into practice, I took sole responsibility to design two backdrops for the company’s display booths at two of the most prestigious global Consumer Electronics Fairs, IFA (Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin) 2014 and HKCEF (Hong Kong Consumer Electronics Fair) October 2014.(See portfolio attached)
My responsibilities at this company, which designs and manufactures chipsets for the semi-conductor industry, involved testing and reviewing Digital Audio Broadcasting radios and Chipsets and compiling a report on the results for the Marketing Manager. The report included results from the testing of the radios themselves, an evaluation of the sound, colour and design of the product and an evaluation of the product’s online marketing campaign. The report also contained recommendations on how the online marketing of the product could be improved.
