Event Manager at BRIT Awards LTD.
1993-1998 Event Manager Capital Radio plc. Ran a small team and a vast number of external contractors, Event Managed the first ‘Party In The Park’ concert for The Prince’s Trust, which became an annual event in London’s Hyde Park, attracting sponsors such as Coca Cola and Pepsi. I also ran a programme of Community based, on-air events with commercial sponsors (12 events a year for Big Spending Advertisers on Capital FM) on subject raging from, ‘Start your own Business’ to ‘Want to be a Model?’ etc., as well as running annual sales conferences abroad for the award-winning Capital Sales team and corporate and private parties for the then Chairman, Sir Richard Attenborough.
In 1998 the Capital Events Team was made redundant, and I with a colleague Kate Oliver, left Capital to continue running the Capital Radio events contract out of house, trading as Carter Oliver Ltd, then Adrian Carter Ltd.,
1998 – 2007 Carter Oliver Ltd/Adrian Carter Ltd, as above. Also won event management contracts with Associated Newspapers (for Evening Standard and Daily Mail Group) GWR Radio Group, The Ritz Casino, OPUS, Dove (cosmetics), Annabell’s, as well as private clients including Viscount and Viscountess Rothermere, Nick Mason and other lesser known individuals
2001 and 2003 Maternity cover (on two separate occasions to cover support for BPI event and charity work). The BRITs at that time was managed and run out of house
2005 - 2007 In 2005, BRIT Awards Ltd was brought in-house at BPI. Worked 4 days a week at BPI as Event Manager and continued my other work with private clients until 2007

Event Manager
Working with the many specialist contractor firms employed by the company, I look after the logistical and operational sides of Event Management in relation to the organisation and staging of the annual British music awards ceremonies The BRIT Awards and The Classical BRIT Awards - amongst other smaller music related and charity events.

With my business partner Kate Oliver, I ran a small event management company. Clients included, Capital Radio Group, GWR Radio group, Associated Newspapers LTD and various smaller companies. We organised client entertaining, corporate, customer and private events from sales conferences, to Christmas parties, to on-air broadcast features involving sponsors and the public
