Extensive research to source and contact artists for potential collaborations or gallery hire. Regularly updating the gallery’s social media pages including Facebook, Twitter, Instragram and tumblr accounts. Installations and de-installations of artworks and preparing the gallery ahead of exhibitions. Contribution to curating the artwork in two gallery spaces. Organising and undertaking deliveries which involved knowledge of handling artworks. Working late on exhibition opening nights once a fortnight. Duties included welcoming guests, selling artwork, liaising with artists and clients. Recording the evening via photography and video using a DSLR camera. General assistance including answering phones, maintaining gallery space, keeping the space clean and professional and proactively networking for new clients.
