I work on an ADHOC basis filling in occasionally on the 'Drivetime' show. This role involves:
-Scheduling interviews (Live, pre-recorded and over the phone)
-Finding stories to go in the programme
-Editing songs and audio for broacast
-Writing cues for the presenter
-Taking phone calls from listeners
-Connecting BBC reporters to the live show
-Escorting guests in and out of the building

Representing the Lincoln School of Film and Media at the University of Lincoln on both open days and offer-holder days. I was the first point of contact for many prospective students and their families, offering advice, giving tours and generally trying to be as helpful as possible.
This role was all about having good communication & customer service skills. Providing a good image for both my department and the university in general whilst also making sure all guests were catered for and happy.

This course taught me how to think critically about sound and how as humans we interact with it, talk about it and build our culture around it.
It also taught me practically how to record and edit sound to a high calibre. Using professional grade tools both in and out of a studio setting to create sound that can be used for a range of purposes. Here are some examples of what I've learnt:
-Sound recording and design for branding purposes.
-Radio production (end-to-end)
-Location sound recording on film sets.
-Dialogue replacement within films. Including running commentary/ADR sessions with actors.
-Foley Recording
-Mixing and editing sound for video.
