My name is Aila Khan. I am 21 years old and I live in Bedfordshire. I have achieved a BA degree with honours in Product Design at Bucks New University. As well as studying, I work part time at Sainsbury's and have been working there for nearly 5 years.
My interests includes researching and organising anything I can get my hands on, like researching and organising content within projects in different sections. I also love sketching new innovative design concepts, as well as improving my knowledge on CAD and Product Development.
Projects
- Shelving UnitI designed and produced this shelving unit in 2019, portraying manipulation of materials, such as jesmonite and brass. I focused on the detail when forming jesmonite. I wanted to produce something different, therefore designed a shelving unit, with brass portrayed on a few of the sides within the product
- Lighting ProductI designed and produced this lighting piece in 2018, through 3D Printing. This piece portrays my knowledge and my development within CAD and 3D Printing. The form portrayed, is simple and minimalistic, which Is what I was going for within the Skandium project, so it was in keeping with the company. I enjoyed designing this product through CAD, however I believe I should improve on my skills within CAD.
- iPhone Dock SpeakerI designed and produced this speaker in 2019 with a given brief from Freelancer, Tom Owen, from Curventa. I explored a variety of materials, such as high density foam wood and brass, enhancing on the detail portrayed. I enjoyed producing this product, as well as researching necessary content related to the product.
