  • I became a section editor (Features) in 2014. I pitched, sourced, wrote and edited a wide selection of human interest stories. My editorial has been recognised both locally and nationally, and the section secured more cover stories than any other during my time there. Duties included: - Pitching ideas & overseeing the production of articles for print & online - Managing/editing content to ensure that high editorial standards were consistently met - Sending out briefs to contributors & assisting with any issues encountered - Proofreading copy - Managing the features email account - Conducting interviews face-to-face & over the phone - Liaising with designers/photographers/illustrators etc.
