About me
I'm currently taking my Master's in Innovation Management in Central St.Martins, University of the Arts, London. Having a Bachelor's in Architecture equipped me with skills such as concept development and conducting thorough researches for a project. I'm organised, capable to multitask as well as work under pressure. In addition, I also developed a strong communication and presentation skills, catering to specific audiences. My works mainly range from architectural projects to product design, which is due to my interest in the design field as well as my curiosity on to which extent I can push my own boundaries as a designer. I believe these two fields gradually correlate to each other, building a mixture of my idea on how innovative design could be utilised to solve intricate problems. Furthermore, I consider my interest within both disciplines and my experience in harnessing design potentials through varied mediums as one of my greatest advantages to face the perpetually demanded functions of today's issues in society. I'm used to working in close groups in startups, as well as fast-paced environments within established companies. Engaged in several ventures in the design industry, I have experiences from working in creative agencies to architectural firms. I gained various design, strategy and management skills, which would be beneficial for tasks given upon me. I am also used to maintaining a positive relationship with clients, driving insights from their enquiries and proposing strategies accordingly. I'm highly motivated in helping companies develop to exceed their expectations. Apart from professional work, I'm also interested in being involved in social activities such as volunteer work. On 2011, I was manager of Emmaus-Oselya, a shelter for homeless in Lviv, Ukraine. I was in charge of managing the residents' jobs an welfare in the shelter, which includes coordinating a self-owned shop, organising several charity events, distributing food to the poor as well as visiting the social support centre.

  • Belva Housing Project
Belva Housing ProjectThe Belva housing is a project located in the Bangka area, south Jakarta. This project is a form of cooperation between LC Development and Studio Air Putih architecture firm. Consists of 12 houses, Belva reflects the best of modern elegance with a careful balance of functionality to meet the needs of today’s lifestyle. The concept of Belva project is to design modern, minimalist and tropical houses. With land scarcity as one of the limitations, the units were designed effectively in terms of room programs and arranged in the opposite side of each other. With this consideration, privacy became the main concern in the design. Thus, we came up with the idea of using sun shading attributes in the form of line elements, as a buffer for the interiors. These elements later on became the trademark for the housing units.

  • ACT Beads: Medicine Packaging
ACT Beads: Medicine PackagingMalaria is one of the leading causes of death in Sub-Saharan African countries, albeit the fact that its preventable and treatable. Our research indicated that adherence is a major factor in treating malaria and the groups that are most affected are children and pregnant women. Thus, our research focused on their daily habits and traditions in order to plan a non-invasive approach. This resulted in the decision of integrating bead cultures with the ACT medicine packaging. This is also supported by the role of beads in traditional African health landscape, in which beads regarded as sacred items and medicine to treat various diseases. We developed a tailored bead-inspired packaging that patients can easily understand with its colour coded and numbered features, as well as distinct forms to cater different types of patients. These features are also designed in order to tackle non-adherence problems in patients due to low literacy and complex dosage instructions. Other elements such as tamper-evident strips and verification codes are added in order to ensure the authenticity of the medicine, as counterfeit drugs is a major issue in Africa. The leaflet within the packaging also provides incentives for patients, such as insecticide nets and trainings that can be acquired in health centres, in order to increase prevention and treatment for malaria. In the long run, this packaging would provide opportunities for slow growing economies in rural area, by empowering local communities to produce and assemble the beads as part of the packaging.
  • Wulan Lamp
Wulan LampThe inspiration from this product came from Indonesian traditional temples in East Java. The layered from of the temples has potential as an innovative lamp shade, thus the idea behind "Wulan Lamp". The segmented lamp shade design provides a variation on where the shade is situated and further, the scope of light emitted. The lamp shade was designed in a compact and flexible manner, so it can be utilised as both a hanging as well as a standing lamp. The wooden cap material was chosen to embody a warm ambience, also as a representative of the red bricks from the traditional temple. Meanwhile, a variety of material can be used for the shade, ranging from canvas to wicker. The name "Wulan" was also chosen due to its Javanese definition of "The Moon" which is in line the product's lighting function.
