  • Absinthe
AbsintheJourney to the land of the Green Fairy Did you know that absinthe is a plant before it is a drink? That it has been wrongly accused of driving people mad, but that it has countless therapeutic properties? That the aperitif tradition owes much to the alcohol that bears its name? And that François Mitterrand, on a visit to Neuchâtel, was offered a 'fairy' soufflé at the height of Prohibition? Tania Brasseur, who has a doctorate in literature, is a member of the Swiss Culinary Heritage Committee
  • Palestine
Palestine1 font. Palestine. 4 weights. 1948, 1967, 2014, 2023. One weight to represent each of the key dates in history of the ethnic cleansing, colonization, brutalization and destruction of the Palestinian land and people. The map is shrinking day by day. By creating a "disappearing font" my aim is to raise awareness of the history of the settler colonialism inflicted on Palestinians by the State of Israel, and prompt people to read into the history of the 75 year struggle of the Palestinian people.
  • Ultraviolet Live
Ultraviolet LiveUltraviolet Live is a 2-day digital festival of back to back performances started at the beginning of the pandemic to support DJ's, artists and performers. The festival exists to ensure they are still seen and heard, and can participate in an event streamed on all major platforms such as Mixcloud, Twitch, Facebook, Instagram Live and on the ultraviolet.live website. We exist for the artists affected the most by the pandemic.
  • ajsaajsaajsa | Visual Identity
ajsaajsaajsa | Visual IdentityIn 2017 when I started freelancing, I thought it would be best to create my very own visual identity in order to raise awareness of my work online, through presentations and on social media. In order to keep it coherent throughout the process, presentation templates have been made, along with a rate card, a curriculum vitae, a portfolio design and more. I used Cooper Black, which is honestly my favourite typeface but one that's usually frowned upon amongst designers because of it's unapologetic

    Gaza FontDubai Lynx
Shortlisted at Dubai Lynx Awards In the MENA region, traditional media is saturated with content, so much so that it's hard to be heard, especially when it comes to social causes. To break through the clutter, we needed to create something that would stand out and at the same time grab the highest amount of attention possible, in the shortest amount of time possible. The objective was to make something that could live both online and offline, and was in of itself, a medium that could be used to communicate. We wanted to create awareness of the gradual reduction of Palestinian lands since 1948 in a way that would be unique yet striking, and which would move past traditional media, even past social media, and that would bring an immediate amount of attention to the plight, and in turn help raise funds for the Palestine Children's Relief Fund. After watching a slew of Palestinian films from the 1940s and 50s, we noticed that the slab serif used to subtitle these films was quite unique in form. We wanted to keep its integrity, and so used it as our base for a typeface that quite literally disappears before your eyes, just like the Palestinian map. We created 3 font families, each representing the state of Palestinian land in 1948, 1967 and 2014, so that the viewer experiences the immediate gravity of the situation, in a unique and thought-provoking way.
