About me

With a background in both copy and design, I value openminded, creative and thoughtful approaches to storytelling and content creation. Driven by sharing ideas and making connections, I have produced work for a number of well-known brands (as well as individuals and lesser-known start-ups) across the spectrum of publishing and communications for more than 15 years. Having started out in the realms of print editorial, I continue to have a passion for physical publications – it’s something about their tactile quality and how we interact with that. That being said, I’m no stranger to digital content creation, marketing or branding. Lifestyle categories – design, art, travel, fashion, food and culture – have always fed my personal creative interests, and much of the work I do sits within this sphere. I have, however, been known to turn my hand to copy projects involving souped-up street cars and cutting-edge technology. What can I say? I love learning new things in order to share fresh insights with others via a good story.

  Surfing SafariA series of images inspired by surf and life beachside. Part of a larger, self-directed project drawing on moments and places experienced during travels. In particular, these pieces refer to Sri Lanka and Tel Aviv. Mixed media collages utilising monoprinting, ink drawing and occasionally digital drawing.
• Four Last Words, Thickets EPA commission from London band Thickets to create the cover art for their latest EP, Four Last Words. The cover drew from an existing work that I had created in response to the Arctic surfing documentary, Under An Arctic Sky. Mixed-media collage, with digital drawing and ink-based hand lettering.
• A taste of PugliaA series of illustrations inspired by Puglia, Italy. Part of a larger, self-directed project drawing on places and moments experienced during travels. Mixed media, using monoprinting, ink drawing and digital processes.
• From Sea To SkyA map-style image, inspired by a journey from Sri Lanka's beaches to Ella in its Hill Country. Mixed-media collage, utilising monoprinting and ink drawing.

  Postcard from PugliaA series of snapshots and memories from a trip to Italy, pulled together to create one image with its own narrative. Part of the development of a larger, self-directed project that draws upon experiences travelling in a number of locations.
• Hidden TokyoA self-initiated project, created in response to a passage from a piece of editorial in a back issue of Suitcase Magazine, about foodie destinations and meals in Japan. Mixed media, utilising ink drawing, monoprinting and digital drawing.

• Heal's 1810Produced a small booklet, and a parallax page to tell the heritage, and many stories, of this iconic brand. The project involved researching, going through the 200year old archive, to select the most important and captivating stories.
