About me
My interests lie within the realms of exploring innovative design methods to make new products that contribute towards a sustainable future. Whilst studying at Plymouth University, I realised that I had a real passion for designing products that can be made more efficiently (fewer materials, packaging, and effort.) Being a product designer has given me the power to identify and come up with design solutions for the everyday problems we all face. I make a conscious effort to challenge common issues, knowing that technology is also improving every second. The notion that the technological products we use can profoundly affect our lives intrigues me and pushes me towards improved sustainable design thinking.
Projects
  • Low Cost Medical Ventilator MKII
Low Cost Medical Ventilator MKIIThe country of India has now been very badly affected by COVID-19, plunging it into an economic crisis, as well as running crucially low on medical supplies and putting the populations lives at high risk. Even though there are vaccines, they aren't currently able to cater for the whole population, so the coronavirus is still putting everyone at risk. The ideal solution, therefore, is to design a medical ventilation device that is highly repairable/identifiable from accessible localised parts/mat
  • Low Cost Medical Ventilator MKI

  • Community Utility Cart
Community Utility CartA plastic free, manoeuvrable cart designed for youngsters (3-7) to simply grow their own food, aswell as helping the community by reducing the amount of plastic that is wasted by creating eco bricks/structures and separating plastic waste.
  • Flex Desk
Flex DeskFLEX is an office desk with a tilt-able top for better ergonomics. A full-size prototype was made to test that all components are easily repairable, as it is designed for a long product life. A 2nd-year live project thanks to Herman Miller.
  • Reassembled Chair
Reassembled ChairAn up-cycled piece of old furniture through the use of 3D printing digital fabrication methods for overall enhancement. Making the neglected product not go to waste.
  • Sustainable Children's Toy
Sustainable Children's ToyA 3 in 1 creative toy for children which is fully manufactured from using a laser cutting process. One sheet of laser-plywood, clear acrylic and miniature magnets are the only three materials used to make this product. The toys body shell is also the packaging, so minimal environmental impact is caused.

I have multiple tasks given to me every day, these include approaching and helping out customers, using the tills at the checkouts, and pulling out the back stock in the evening for the night shift workers to begin their job. By working at Tesco, it has helped me develop my communicational skills as well as constantly being able to work under pressure to help the customer's shopping experience easier every day.
