About me
Alex is an experienced graphic designer and typographer. After graduation from his BA (Hons) in Graphic Design, he gained a lot of experience with various permanent jobs and freelance clients. He is currently studying Communication Design (Graphic Design) at the Royal College of Art, where he focused on typography as well as highlighting very personal experiences and stories in various forms. Previous employment and commissions include Imperial College, Siegel+Gale, Sainsbury’s, Ford, General Motors, Gensler, HSBC, Procter & Gamble, Boskke, Dorling Kindersley, Hewlett Packard and The London Design Festival.

  • WIP show identity
    WIP show identityMy pitch for the Royal College of Art’s 2018 Work In Progress show. The idea came from all the changes which were happening for us as second-year Visual Communication students: our career paths and professional practices were evolving, plus we were forced to move campus – there were many uncertainties. I set out the names of our year group and rotated them on the spot to create abstract characters and numerals – this revealed who was showing and acted like a texture to the identity.

  • Sultana – Last Words
    Sultana – Last WordsLast Words is a variable typeface and an installation/performance piece. Inspired by the gradual loss of a family member, the website poses the simple question: “If you were losing your ability to communicate, what would you want to say to your loved ones?” As you type your answer, your message slowly degrades, each character becoming less legible. After your message is submitted, it’s archived on a page where you can ‘revive’ your submission if desired. Also, the website goes through cycles of
