I am ideas led, my skills include print, layout and logo design, identity and branding concepts, promotional and communication material, digital and social media imagery, and a research driven use of typography.
I believe in high-quality, considered design that sets your organisation apart from the crowd, thoroughly researched and developed concepts are at the core of my creative work.

Projects
- My Friend magazineBetween 2010 and 2016 I created, designed and produced 48 issues of a local business magazine. I designed all of the magazine layouts, many of the adverts and assisted with logo design and branding for many locally based customers. After six success years I sold the business as a going concern in 2016.
- Easy XApp design for Easy X - the Easy Expense app. I researched many digitally friendly typefaces and found that Ubuntu fitted the bill and had a pound sign that looked like an ‘E’. User experience is key; the design includes an intricate wire frame and colour-coded sections to make the user’s navigation around the app as fluid as possible.
- Romain du RoiLoving all things typographic, this was a research and development project to get a better understanding of the geometric structures that underpin a typeface. I researched the Romain du Roi: a typeface designed in France in the early 1700s that used scientific principles and digitally recreated the letterforms
- SJOGThis project was a total rebrand for national charity SJOG (Saint John of God Hospitaller Services). Their new brand and website features a new logo which uses the typeface Effra, a new five colour palette and most importantly a tone of voice that makes it easier for people to engage with the charity and website by adopting a less formal and more conversational approach that more closely reflects who SJOG are.
- Post Brexit PassportJumping on the ‘Brexit’ bandwagon I had some fun redesigning the British passport. Each of the stampable pages celebrates a different region and industry: Birmingham - machinery, Blackpool - tourism, Cambridge - science and City of London - finance. Inspiration for this project comes from William Morris, Edward Johnston, the 1951 Festival of Britain and contemporaries Jonathan Barnbrook and Brian Webb.
