About me
I am an experienced copywriter who is accustomed to providing clean and engaging content on a deadline. As a member of Gen Z, I have what we call brain rot: a ludicrously capacious knowledge of current trends and pop culture news. I love to find creative ways to incorporate these trends into my work, thus engaging audiences in new ways. And—as a USA/UK dual-citizen—I am excited by the challenge of adapting to a different audience than the ones I have previously worked with.
Projects
  • Profile: Cartel Crystals
Profile: Cartel CrystalsTo highlight new businesses in my hometown of Benicia, I interviewed the owner of Cartel Crystals, Enjolique Vidal, for Benicia Magazine. The full article can be found at https://www.beniciamagazine.com/cartel-crystals-a-love-story/
  • Web Design: New Website for Bookshop Benicia
Web Design: New Website for Bookshop BeniciaI am currently working on switching to BookManager's webstore from IndieLite for Bookshop Benicia. I am creating original graphics and content for the site and designing its features for the best user experience. This requires copywriting, graphic design, and IT literacy.

I took on assigned article topics in addition to pitching my own ideas. I was mostly responsible for business profiles which included scheduling and conducting interviews in order to successfully introduce the business(es) to locals. I held an additional title as Administrative Assistant where I was responsible for maintaining the magazine’s publication schedule, providing marketing feedback from a young demographic’s point of view, and occasional copy editing.

Typical daily responsibilities included: building relationships with customers, training new employees, and organisational skills to keep a clean sales floor and flowing work environment. I also volunteered to manage Bookshop Benicia’s online presence via its social media accounts and bi-weekly newsletter. I practised my short and long-form copywriting skills and, in the process, increased engagement by approximately 700% and doubled the IG follower count.
