I am currently the Junior Packaging Designer at Luxury Skincare brand, Sarah Chapman.
A small indie beauty brand, where I am able to work across a large range of projects.
Highlights:
• Creating luxury skincare packaging renders & final print-ready artworks for multiple new product launches, including Platinum Pep8 Stem Cell Serum, launched exclusively at Harrods.
My responsibilities include:
• Creating and editing print-ready packaging artworks – covering all primary, secondary & leaflets
• Collaboratively working with NPD Department
• Quality control for all packaging - primary, secondary & gift packaging
• Working alongside Senior Packaging Designer on all gifting kits and New Product launches, from researching, conceptualising & sourcing to delivery of finalised product
• Using awareness of differing global market requirements to create instructional illustrations for launching into new markets worldwide, for use on web and mobile
• Creating accurate packaging renders for management review
• Managing project to update artworks & transfer to new supplier ahead of changes in production location
• Designing & developing graphics that are fit for purpose & in-line with brand guidelines
• Gathering research, creating mood boards & populating design presentations both within beauty & external industries
• Establishing brand packaging colour tolerances & guidelines
• Working with suppliers to ensure packaging print colour tolerances are adhered to
• Meeting with and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers
• Attending packaging exhibitions
