I was a part of the Cheltenham Racecourse Hospitality team, mainly working on the bar at the various race meetings throughout the season. I was required to work as part of a team in a busy and demanding environment, dealing with cash and always aiming to provide excellent customer service.
Reporting directly to the Head of Events as well as supporting the Marketing Director of one of the UK’s largest outdoor advertising companies. This role required me to be a self-starter with excellent communication and organisational skills due to the fast paced working environment. Whilst I carried out administrative work, I was also required to interact with various members of the sales team on a daily basis as well contacting new and existing suppliers to acquire quotes and assessing proposals for upcoming internal and launch events .
Worked closely with and supported the Sales Manager and Managing Director of a UK based work wear and corporate uniform company. My responsibilities involved liaising existing and new clients as well as developing online database of potential new clients through the use of Excel. This required numerous phone calls approaching new companies to introduce Corporate Connection.
Within this role I reported to the Account Director of a digital marketing and fundraising consultancy. My responsibilities included providing support to existing clients with their specific projects (direct mailers, proof readings and alterations) this therefore required strong communication skills via numerous phone calls and email contact. Organising folders for clients with their charity information and previous mailers created by Lean and CSDM (agency in Ross-On-Wye) was another of my responsibilities. I also researched and created Excel document for Lean Twitter account with potential businesses, charity and people to follow on Twitter.
I worked closely with the new and developing agency. My responsibilities included support with the development of the agency’s social media (Twitter, Facebook). Assisted with the guest list and organizing the distribution of invitations for one of their clients, ‘Be At One’ and their bar opening in London. Wrote and distributed press releases and followed up with newspapers to ensure coverage.
Reporting to the Public Relations Manager of a market leading UK Hospitality company, my responsibilities included, project management in terms of strategic advertising rollouts, first point of contact for the Press Office, working directly with General Managers of leased and managed properties in providing assistance with their specific PR requirements, coordinating and arranging PR events at a local and national level as well as drafting and distributing the weekly internal communications e-newsletter via intranet.
