I am a passionate, creative person with experience facilitating workshops and working as a part of a large, dynamic team to meet targets and deadlines. I have spent the last year and a half working in higher education whilst keeping up my own practice as an artist/illustrator.

My responsibilities included: • Workshop facilitation – A large part of my role was to host workshops for university students specialising in painting. These group sessions would be to boost confidence and educate in a technical area of painting. • Admin duties – My role was to ensure smooth running of the BA Fine Art course by ensuring the right supplies were ordered, keeping track of attendance and individual student progress in excel spreadsheets, ensuring the right health and safety protocols were followed and recorded, keeping track of student complaints to ensure these were acted upon and improvements were made and running the materials store for student material purchases. • Working with team of technicians to plan and facilitate large scale events – I worked as a part of a team to organise, curate and install the end of year degree show which opens up to the public every summer. This involved working as a part of a large team to ensure a stress-free, professional summer show in both Bournemouth and Central London.

My role as gallery assistant at Pen Gallery involved working closely with the founder as I was the first employee she hired to open the contemporary gallery/independent makers shop to the public. Joining Pen in the very early days taught me a lot about launching a business from the ground and the need for constant reviewal to ensure we were reaching out to new audiences to increase footfall day to day in the gallery and attendance for exhibition openings/creative events. My responsibilities there involved creating posters to promote events, launching the half term and summer holidays childrens art workshop programme, working with local artists who stocked their products in the shops independent makers section and meeting regular deadlines strict deadlines for exhibition change over.
