I was tasked to make up clothes, providing that each order was identical to its original. Quality control was a main key throughout this process. I developed and undertook an understanding into the Fashion business and market. I was also set the task of researching its market to explore the company’s brand positioning in comparison to its competitors.
Interned at a well known Trend Forecasting company in Newcastle. Tasked to assist consultancy projects; responding and researching future changes that would influence and impact on their clients markets. Carried out practical tasks such as creating Pantone swatches, sourcing and requesting materials, reflect their 8 Macro trends and designed two print designs for their S/S21 trend book.
Two Weeks of curating the textiles 2018 degree show in which I exhibited my own work. Demonstrated practical and technical skills through achieving experience within a new area of practice- curation design.
Selected to install the annual fashion show at Scotland Re:Desgned. My role was to style and place a model to a scene and to a garment. Main job role was tasked to be head communicator backstage ensuring that each model were in their required outfit and the correct order before being released onto the runway.
Achieving experience and skills within; garment construction, toiling and designing three look to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of The Glasgow School of Art’s annual fashion show. Demonstrated my capable design process, research and development to create a collection of wearable pieces designed for the catwalk.
Assisting and participating in the Kate Spade photoshoot in Northumberland. I helped with the overall shoot and the set up and layout for the set design.
