I am a freelance multidisciplinary artist from South East London who specialises in illustration, 2D/3D motion graphics and design. I operate as both an independent designer and collaboratively with various agencies.
Independently I go by the creative name Alice And The Ink and tailor my professional work around my interests in music, fashion and culture. I have been freelance fulltime for over two years and work on a variety of projects across both print and digital such as advertising, editorial, logos, window design, posters, merchandise design, stickers, live music graphics, title sequence design and social media campaigns. Clients of mine include the BBC, Channel 4, Nando’s, Kraken Rum and musicians Skepta, The Streets, Potter Payper and Pa Salieu. This year, I was the winner of a design competition hosted by Dr. Martens, and runner up for another led by Footpatrol and GENERATION.Works.
My current ambition is to collaborate with brands in the fashion and streetwear industries, to see my work on large scale murals and to create more with a focus on social, environmental or ethical causes.
Outside of my independent work, I’ve worked collaboratively with the creative teams at Electric Studios (the design department of Electric Theatre Collective), Untold Studios, Depop and Framestore where I was previously a 3D VFX artist for over 3 years. With these agencies I’ve designed and animated for huge brands such as Apple, McDonalds, Virgin Media and The Times.
Projects
- E4 - RESET & REWINDI was commissioned by E4 and creative agency TOAD London to create illustrations for an episode of Reset & Rewind, a series that explores mental health challenges presented by various U.K. artists and is made in partnership with the Maudsley NHS hospital. My episode is voiced and led by Miraa May who discusses how she deals with unhelpful thinking. Animation by Lily Shaul.
