As Rawthmells Events and Programme Manager my role was to establish and produce a dynamic programme for The RSA’s new 21st century enlightenment coffeehouse. The vision for the space was as a place where people could come together, connect, collaborate and discover great ideas to overcome the challenges facing our society. It was conceived as a hub for anyone interested in social change. I started working at The RSA before the coffeehouse opened in October 2018 and developed a regular programme of events, a rotating scheme for inspiring project displays and ad-hoc activity in the coffeehouse, to spark conversation, creativity, collaboration and action. As Culture and Communications Manager of The House of St Barnabas I was responsible for creating and producing a diverse, dynamic and thought-provoking public cultural events programme, alongside managing the communications and marketing for both the charity and business. Working in a small team my role incorporated strategy, collaboration and creative thinking, excellent project management and customer service.
