I'm a freelance photo editor and multi-disciplinary artist based in East London. With a BA degree in Film Production at the University of Westminster, and currently studying an MA in English Literature, I'm continuously expanding my experiences, interests and expertise. The constant contrasts and twists from one endeavour to the next provides me with a momentum and inspiration that never bores.
My personal projects and concepts are heavily shaped by analysed and observed notions of consciousness, nostalgia and existentialism through relations to the self, family and modern society. I seek to deliver an observation and thought process through mediums that allow either a cathartic display or impression, or mediums that help to unmask and evoke certain sentimentalities and sensations within the audience.
I co-founded Woodland Studio (artist studio and collective), which is the base for Undergrowth Collective. Woodland Studio features projects and works produced by the artists that use the studio, and Undergrowth Collective which is based at the studio combines its artists’ creative skills to “craft immersive experiences that honour the power of nature and human senses, inviting the audience to rediscover the forgotten natural world thriving throughout London”.
With the collective in December 2019, I embarked on a fantastic journey working for Utsava Maa Festival at Shri Jasnath Asan in Rajasthan, India. In a month-long lead up to the festival, I built and curated an art installation with my sister Emily, I made film documentation of life at the ashram and the behind-the-scenes of Undergrowth Collective, and I helped to coordinate and plan the collective’s ambitious program of workshops, performances and immersive experiences.
