I edit and distribute, as well as commission and write for, this publication which began in 2018 with Arts Council funding. We started with the same team of 6 that we have now and since then we have run quarterly and print 3000 issues for distribution. We have now gained enough subscribers to cover our costs and pay contributors since our funding ran out last year and look to grow further in the coming year with more events (we have worked with local businesses such as Brixton Pound and Review Bookshop in Peckham) and a podcast.

I commission reviews under the titles Fiction, Fashion, Social and Cultural studies and "Oddities" for and have added many new contributors to our roster. Second reading, subediting and fact checking work commissioned by other editors is also a large part of my role which has become particularly honed. Alongside this I choose, edit and format pictures for the paper and online, using Photoshop and our in-house system Methode (which shares several features with InDesign), and upload articles to our website weekly. Recently, I have been learning more about page production and can lay out the week's paper using our current system. Aside from this, there are small ongoing tasks such as updating the database and shared documents such as the Audit and those for 'forthcoming pieces', as well as sending out books to reviewers and taking on handwritten corrections.
