Projects
  • Seeing by Feeling - Facebook for the Blind or Visually Impaired
Seeing by Feeling - Facebook for the Blind or Visually ImpairedD&AD New Blood Brief: Create a campaign, service or product for a company that mainly exists in the digital realm, with paper at it’s core. Promote the chosen brand using Arjowiggins Creative Papers’ ranges and at the same time champion the importance of paper in an increasingly digital world.  Create a personal relationship with the company’s customers through paper and / or printed communication. The solution needs to be coherent with the identity of the chosen brand and the services or products they offer.  Problem: Even though digital communication seems to open endless possibilities for personalisation, it can somehow still feel impersonal and transient. Paper remains a powerful, tangible medium to convey emotion and let customers know how important they are to a brand. Solution: Seeing by Feeling is a new service provided by Facebook for the visually impaired or blind, this is a paper version of the application that is posted to the user. Incorporating Blind Printing and Braille to create a personal and physical experience, it communicates the importance of user needs.

On a weekly basis we would attend meetings to pitch ideas for projects and discuss how to push them further. I attended workshops lead by visiting Design Agencies, where I learned that you should always keep ideas simple and to the point. Managing multiple projects was a good insight into working within the design industry as it helped with time management.
