I currently work for Hallamshire Golf Club as a bar tender. My duties include: Key holder for clubhouse/bar area. Service of drinks and meals to club members and visitors. Stock control Setting up the bar and lounges for service. Closing/ cleaning of these areas and reconciliation of cash register at the end of shift/day. Securing the bar and club house at end of day. I worked for Stamford Golf Club as a bar tender and as a waitress for the catering company within the golf club consecutively. I first joined the company as a kitchen porter at the age of 13, but within a few weeks became a waitress, serving members of the club and customers who hire the function room for events. The club opened its doors to members of the general public two years ago for weekly Sunday carvery, curry nights and general bar snack & meals on a daily basis. My role has grew within the golf club over my 5 years employment, I was considered one of the senior members of the hospitality team, and was often utilised in a supervisory position when new staff are appointed and require training for service. My bar shifts were often independently worked shifts, with the stewardess or assistant stewardess only required to lock up the building after the bar has closed and I had cleaned and secured the bar areas.
