About me
Hi! I'm Amanda Akokhia, a female photographer who currently resides in Manchester, UK. Having grown up in Manchester, I have had an avid interest in art and photography from an early age. My interest in photography started when I became obsessed with different ideals of beauty and thought the best way to capture that was through photographs. I then developed an overgrowing obsession with capturing beauty and my goal as an artist is to exhibit beauty, grace and strength in every subject that I capture. This includes models and non models. I am very confident in directing people in order to highlight an aspect of who they truly are.

African Creatives relief funds amid Covid-19Hi guys, I hope you are well. I’m starting a fundraiser to get financial support for creative freelancers in Africa to ensure food, clean water and medical supplies are provided. The number of messages I get daily from photographers struggling financially is overwhelming. Especially the ones in Nigeria. Nothing is too small. I would love to support as many as I can with the funds raised. 100% of the funds raised will be used to support these creatives. Your support will be highly appreciated.

Championing Diversity: this Black History Month, meet 100 creatives inspiring changeWe asked 11 of our creative heroes to each nominate 10 leading black change makers and creators who are shaping the current climate with raw talent, big ideas and crazy hard work. There is still a huge disparity of BAME individuals in the creative industry. Currently only 13% of the creative industry workforce identify as coming from Black and Minority Ethnic backgrounds. In addition, only 8% of senior positions have BAME representation. Spotlighting this subject is as important as ever. True d
