Bartender at busy city center bar/kitchen.
: I was employed by Home Fundraising as a paid fundraiser. I worked raising money door to door for Marie Curie Cancer Care, The British Heart Foundation and Sight Savers. Throughout this role I was able to encourage donations from the public to help the many charities that change the lives of millions of people all over the world, a role that was very personally important to me. This position offered me extensive ongoing training in essential sales skills and gave me a change to meet and talk to many various members of the public, gathering a multitude of different ideals and opinions. Working at Home Fundraising allowed me to give something back to those less fortunate than me and helped me branch out my experience to the charitable sector.
I was employed with T.G.I Friday’s UK in the Buchanan Street branch. In this store I was fully trained as a door host, a food runner, a waitress and a bartender and I can now complete each job with speed and ease. Throughout my time at T.G.I Friday’s I have learnt how to work quickly and positively with a team in a busy environment. I can remember and process large amounts of information quickly and I have learnt to be confident and charismatic with the public. From my bar training specifically, I now know roughly 100 cocktails proficiently and I can do some basic flair.
