About me
I am a friendly enthusiastic individual, working well individually and excelling within teams. Having graduated in Fine Art I have a unique creative flare and a willingness to try new things. I have a positive outlook on life and am very determined when under pressure.
Projects
  • Carthew Quarry
Carthew QuarryWorking from locations I have been situated within, I am able to relate to the different weather conditions and the brutality of the land. Whilst doing this project i was particularly interested in looking at the affect we have on the environment. I chose certain processes that will highlight the intensity of the landscape; these have included etching, spit bite, sugar lift, painting and drawing. It is this arrangement of ideas and mediums that created my end images.
  • Elapsed Tides
Elapsed TidesFrom tracking the tide times and how many days (ranging from 3 to 14) I left each steel plate attached to the harbour for I was able to etch each stage of erosion, and noticing every slight mark that had been made. using my surroundings to influence my work and portraying the force of the water. I printed the etchings in a methodological way similar to how i had been working throughout the project, everything was timed and organised.
  • Residents of Ten
Residents of TenA group exhibition, combining painting, printmaking and installation, held in a warehouse. I managed the organisation, promotion and design of the posters, as it was a self led project i gained experience in curating but also in events management.
Work history
    Fair Assistant
     - London, United KingdomFull Time
Assisting in all aspects of the set up and running of the fair, I gained sufficient understanding of large scale events. Working intense hours with a team of people that were unfamiliar to me shows my dedication to being a team player and my enthusiasm to learn new skills.
    Education Coordinator
     - Cirencester, United KingdomFull Time
Whilst working at New Brewery Arts, I was on a temporary contract, assisting in the craft shop and gallery. I had to learn all aspects of the job quickly and provided key support to the team during the busy Christmas period. Having shown I am a dedicated individual with exceptional communication skills, I was offered a job in the education department. This proves the proficiencies I have previously learnt in multiple roles are adaptable, allowing me to gain more knowledge in administration, course and workshop organisation and expanding my IT skills by using specific programmes alongside Excel.
