After studying History (BA Hons) at Manchester University from 2013-2016, I decided to take some time off to travel and rethink my career path. Although I enjoyed my History degree and learnt a lot of valuable skills, by the end it was clear that I missed working creatively and with the level of passion I had previously felt with A-Level Photography. In September 2017 I started a Photography Masters at Kingston University, London. Unfortunately, it was obvious early on in the course that this wasn't the right fit for me. Despite absolutely loving working creatively again, I was not learning the practical skills I wanted to in order to become employable in the industry. I decided to leave after the first term, and have since gained skills through short courses and work experience. I completed my Level 2 Photoshop course at the Photography Course London, as well as their Retouching for Fashion & Beauty Course. Most recently, in July 2019 I graduated London College of Communication UAL with a distinction in Graduate Diploma Photography. The fine art style of the Kingston University Masters course provided me with the ability to understand and theorise ideas. However, London College of Communication taught me in depth practical and technical knowledge allowing me to develop my portfolio, which is why I am now actively looking to start my career in photography.Locked Pro Plan feature

Experience gained with Jeff Beasley and the picture desk team, as well as the photo editors. Similar to Ok! Magazine, this experience mainly focused on picture research, picture editing, stock photography, renaming and crediting images. I gained more experience with Photoshop, Bridge, InDesign, ContentStation and PhotoStation. My work was then printed in the daily papers.
Experience gained with the picture desk team, and the photo editors, primarily shadowing Tarkan Algin. Similar to my previous work experience with City A.M, this experience mainly focused on picture research, picture editing, stock photography, mood boards and publication layout. I gained some more experience with Photoshop, InDesign and Content Station. I also contributed to the photographs which were then used in the weekly publication of the magazine.
Work experience with Photographic Synergy helped develop my use of Photoshop and Lightroom, and my general understanding of photo editing. I was also involved with studio shoots and external shoots for David Lloyd Gyms. Overall the week gave me a much better idea of commercial photography, as well as the actual business which surrounds having a studio.
Two weeks spent at City AM with the creative editing team. Primarily focusing on photography, photo editing, and photo research. I accompanied the photographer on different location shoots around London and also spent some time with the online designers.
