- The Layered Woodlouse Mounds, Stoneware with Glaze, Amy Haigh, 2023 (Outdoor public wildlife habitat sculpture)The Layered Woodlouse Mounds act as a monument to its namesake species. Although the occupants are not seen for the most part, the human viewer can expect that they are there and occasionally witness them leaving and entering. Woodlice are drawn to the damp, dark, and warm conditions created beneath and between the layers. The surface of the mounds rise inconspicuously from the grass to create concealed chambers. - Reconfigured Cycle Rack, Reclaimed stainless steel, Amy Haigh, 2022 (Outdoor public wildlife habitat sculpture)The Reconfigured Cycle Rack is a sculptural habitat installed as a public art piece on the University of Surrey's Stag Hill campus. The piece makes use of reclaimed cycle racks from the uni grounds. The racks were cut down into 600 pieces and reassembled to form a dome structure that houses a log pile in its centre. Research focused mainly on slow worms and stag beetles as protected species present in the area. Decaying log piles are essential for stag beetles as a food source, with the material
