Having spent 16 years running the marketing teams for some of the biggest retailers in the world, I set up The Neon Door with a very simple philosophy; to offer a creative solution to strategic marketing and work with people, brands and organisations that inspire. I know what it’s like to be under constant time and budget pressure; I’ve had my fair share of late nights and last minute projects. So my focus on Reactive, Strategic Marketing means I'm quick and nimble, but also focused on achieving the right results for your brand. I've had to magic campaigns and promotions up from nothing, on very little budget. I've sat in more Trade meetings than I'd care to remember, and I'm commercially minded to understand how business work, both cross functionally and with all the internal politics, so I understand the in-house challenges. I'm used to managing large brand budgets like my own money, right down to the last 20p. I love the challenge of finding the best deal and the buzz you get when you see the results roll in. I'll be just as careful with your budget; after all I'd like you to keep coming back to me. we all need a strong ROI in this competitive landscape. So whether it’s working out who your customer is, finding more of your best customers, or just simple how to get them to buy more stuff, I'll put the time in to understand your brand and make the best recommendations.
Accountable for a team of ten, responsible for developing creative, relevant and localised marketing strategies for Gap Europe, covering all marketing and customer experience, including; ATL campaigns, retail promotions, experiential, CRM, loyalty, digital, media partnerships, blogger relations and social media.
Heading up the Boden new customer acquisition team, responsible for driving brand awareness across all areas of both online and offline acquisition marketing for the UK and Europe, including SEO, affiliate marketing and social media, through to prospect pool direct mail, events and above the line campaigns for print and broadcast media.
Reported to UK CEO. Accountable for PR and marketing strategy, covering ATL media, digital, ecommerce, events, creative window development and media relations, working in collaboration with global marketing team in Tokyo and local stakeholders.
E-marketing Manager for oasis-stores.com. In August 2006, project lead for launch of first Oasis ecommerce website, including design agency appointments and all related marketing. Responsible for Oasis franchise brand, ensuring consistent delivery and execution of brand. Brand manager for Oasis licensed products and lingerie brand Odille, working with head designer Janie Schaffer to execute all brand deliverables.
Supported the Marketing Manager with all departmental workflow. Managed in-house graphic designer and assisted in the production of seasonal advertising campaigns. Project lead for the launch of the first Monsoon Accessorize ecommerce website in May 2004.
Developed creative in-store events and promotional marketing strategies to support the annual Selfridges marketing calendar, product launches, and key sales periods. Project managed key elements of in-store ‘mega’ promotions Tokyo Life and Bollywood, press launch parties for luxury brands and celebrity appearances.
Graduated with a first class honors in Fashion Marketing in 2000. Dissertation focused on the rise of athleisure and ecommerce.
